Handy Dandy Husband

I wanted book sheleves for Carson's room and he delivered! Of course I got the idea of Pinterest, and if you don't know what Pinterest is, then you live under a rock.

We have the before picture

And the after picture

At first I wanted them to have to bare wood look, but I've decided that I want them painted. So I will have the hubby take them down and paint them.
Before we had the shelves, Carson's books were in a cardboard box. He loves his new shelves but also misses he box just a little. Silly boy :)

Cousins and Buddies

Recently Carson got to spend the week with his Cousins on Garet's side Blake, Ethan and Elynn. Of Course I forgot my camera when we went to Houston, so I don't have any good pictures of the Twinkies, but Mr. Blake came to visit us the weekend after.

Carson and Blake are two pea's in pod. When they were born we nicknamed them beefy and meaty because they were only 6 months apart and we could see them one day running around and causing havoc together. Well that day has come and they have stepped into the roll of best buddies perfectly.

Whenever I mention how close in age all of the kids are, people will give us the I'm sorry look, but then will say "But they will be the best of friends." We are finally get a taste of it and there is no sweeter thing!

They are so good at being cheese balls sometimes too :)

Disclaimer: I will get pictures of the Twinkies very soon! I will not forget my camera again EVER!

Seven Months

I usually don't like to do a full month post without going to the doctor and know an exact weight and length but in the last few weeks my little lazy man has blossomed. so here we go...

Length: growing
Weight: defiantly growing
Clothes: 9 month but moving into all of those 12 month summer clothes I had for Carson. YEAH for re-using clothing!
Diapers: Size 4 - let me mention that his 2 year old cousin also wears size 4. He needs room for that belly.
Sleeping: He sleeps at least 10 hours a night - 12 if Momma is lucky. He is taking 2 naps a day that last about 2 hours. If we keep him out past 8:00 he takes a dinner cat nap.
Food: breast milk, stage 2 baby foods, and the occasional mashed up beans, cheese, or table fruit. We have also introduced some baby food with meats and he is digging them. We have also started giving him puffs, stars, and a sippy cup. Not great at them yet but defiantly getting there. As you can tell from his rolls he likes his food :)
Activity: As you can from the pictures he is sitting up wonderfully and that is making play time soooo much better. He is crawling on all fours (pretty much skipped the army crawling). He is grabbing everything and throwing everything. He has graduated to the high chair at restaurants and the shopping cart and the grocery store. Thanks goodness because I'm not sure if I can carry the car seat with him in it much longer. He is also attempting the pull up. He will make it to his knees, but will either fall or get someone to help him the rest of the way. His poor little face has taken a beating when he falls, but he will learn.
Other random things: No teeth - we made him feel better and gave him some temps :) Still loves his paci and has figured out how to get it himself. Loves being outside and in the water - ready with his summer hat on. He is starting to babble more but no words yet. I know I'm biased but he is by far the sweetest, most loving baby I have ever been around. He smiles all the time and loves to be cuddled and kissed. Carson was no where near as loving as Caleb. He still loves watching Carson and Rogue and can't wait to really play with them.

That's that and I can't wait to see what the next 4 weeks bring us.
